FISHING Ecuador is considered to have some of the best deep sea fishing in the world. The Humbolt Current that runs along the coast of Ecuador provides a feeding ground for some of the largest game fish in the world. Ecuador awaits the avid deep-sea fishermen who want the excitement of fighting a 1,000-pound marlin. Inlet and beach fishing are also all available. In the sierra, the stream rivers and lakes of the high Andes provide some of the best trout fishing in the world although native species can be found as well. Fishermen are taken to the lakes and streams where weather & water conditions will be most likely to produce the best fish. In the Highlands we use sturdy vehicles and horses for walking transportation.
