THREE DAYS TOURS OTAVALO AND HOT SPRINGS TOUR (3 days anytime) Day 1. - Driving north of Quito we visit Calderon (bread dolls figures), Cayambe and the famous Otavalo Indian Market. Lunch. PM. We drive to the gorgeous cloud forest of Intag where we find the most important medicinal thermal baths of northern Ecuador: Nangulvi. Dinner and overnight. Day 2. - Breakfast. Today we will hike to the archaeological site of Gualiman, famous for its Pre-Inca tombs (tolitas); here we also visit the on-site basic archaeological museum formed with ceramics of the tombs. Lunch. In the afternoon we will enjoy more of the medicinal thermal baths of Nangulvi. Dinner and overnight. Day 3. - Breakfast. After a short dip in the swimming pools, we start driving back to Otavalo; en route we will visit the Crater Lake of Cuicocha and Cotacachi (leather town). Lunch. PM. Return to Quito. THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS (3 days anytime) Day 1. - We leave Quito in the morning and via the "Avenue of the Volcanoes", we go to the Cotopaxi National Park. Lunch. In the afternoon we go to Baņos after visiting the Salasacas weavers. Dinner and overnight. Day 2. - Breakfast. A visit to Baņos includes a nice bath in the thermal springs of the town. Then we continue to Riobamba for lunch. - PM. A visit to the Conceptas Cloister's Museum and then to Guano, famous for its hand-made rugs. Immediately we drive to Guaranda. Dinner and overnight. Day 3. - Breakfast. In the morning we'll visit Guaranda and its surroundings; then we will follow the road up towards the base of Ecuador's highest mountain, Chimborazo (20,705 ft.). Our route circles half way around the giant before returning to the Pan American Hwy. Lunch in Ambato. PM. Return to Quito. CUENCA THROUGH THE HIGHLANDS (3 days anytime) Day 1. - Driving to the south of Quito along the Avenue of the Volcanoes, we visit one of the Indian Markets of the area. Lunch. PM. We continue to Riobamba. Dinner and overnight. Day 2. - Breakfast. From Riobamba we drive to the famous Inca Ruins of Ingapirca. Lunch. PM. We continue to Cuenca where we have a city tour. Dinner and overnight. Day 3. - Breakfast. Today we will visit the craft towns of Gualaceo and Chordeleg. Lunch. PM. Return to Cuenca to take the flight to Quito.
